hi, i was just wondering wat Sway away torsion bars are exactly. is Sway away a brand, or is it a special torsion bar. i wanted to get new torsion bars for my 91 yota. iwas lookin at downeys, they go for about $180.

Away A Way is a company that makes lots of trick suspension parts like the high tech adjustable pogo stick coilover shocks that the 3rd gen and Tacoma guys like so much. IMHO you should not get them unless you are adding a LOT of weight to the front of your truck. A 1mm larger tortion bar will make the ride 60% firmer. If you want a firmer ride I suggest firmer shocks. Some people even go so far as to put in SMALLER t-bars (stock 4 cyl bars in a v6) because they want a softer ride. When I added my bumper and winch my ride got smoother with stock t-bars. I'm glad I didn't get new ones, the ride is much more to my liking now.
