hey where in Holland are you? I'm in Germany close to the Dutch border. Sittard is only 3K form my house. Just curious. Anyway the swap looks great. If I had 2nd Gen I would seriously think about it.

Rixham: Small world. I live in Schinveld, about a mile from Gangelt. 15 min. from Sittard.

you still have the front diff in there?
Here is what I did a few days ago on the one I am working on right now.
I have to get this drivable this wednesday, and get busy on another turbo swap that is supposed to be done by the 9th of august. Haven't even pulled the motor out yet on the second one.

Yep, still original. Bur very tight. too tight actually. I was planning on doing the same you thing you did and make my own sump or modify the existing one. I allready moved the drain plug to the other side because it hit the axle housing when the suspension was fully compressed.
For now I only have 2 WD. As soon as I have the time I will fix this sump problem.
One question for you superrunner: what fuel pump are you using and do you use the supra fuel relay with solenoid for lowering fuel pressure?
I first used my 4Runner pump and no solenoid. A week or two later I mounted the supra fuel relay with the solenoid (still the runner pump) but do not notice any difference in performance or fuel consumption.
What is the best setup?
For now I only have 2 WD. As soon as I have the time I will fix this sump problem.

I try to use turbo supra pumps when using a turbo. But if you stay N/A, stock truck fuel pump will work.

I suspected I should have gone with the 7M-GTE but had lack of time and could only find a 7M-GE.
It runs way better than a 3VZE. But I have no more power left at 100-105 mph. Since I drive that everyday I want to put on a turbo and intercooler.
What do you think: get a 7M-GTE and hope for the best or dismantle and rebuild my 7M-GE with a turbo setup?

Buy a turbo ECU and harness. Buy a motor from cali. You can usualy get them for around $700-$800. Get a better fuel pump, make a 3" exhaust and 2 1/2 intake with intercooler.
That is about it. Everything else is the same.
Don't try to turn the N/A into a turbo. Not worth it.

I wish I could get one for 700-800$. Across the pond you'll get riped off for these engines. Most of them are crap and cost over 1500$. And a wiring harness is impossible to find.
I think a 2JZ swap is starting to look better. I think I'm gone wee the poop out of this one and tell the wife its kaput and I'm gone go for a newer engine next time.
