supercharged runners....

I'm getting ready to supercharge my 4runner, and was wondering how many of you have the boost gauge? and how many do not?

is it really all that necessary? or more for looks? trying to decide if i want to get one or not.

thanks guys-

I bought and installed my boost gauge the same day my Supercharger got put in--It's not that all necessary but it's good to know how your supercharger is running as far as boost & vaccum readings...It's all a matter of preference.. I like having to actually see how my supercahrger is performing even if the gauge is not all that accurate-- at least I get a rough idea...

I have Supercharger and boost gauge, but never installed the last one. If you want, I can give you a pretty good deal on brand new gauge. Let me know!

You guys know that the boost gauge adds 10 hp right?

I installed my boost gauge a few months after I got my S/C. It is not totally necessary, but its nice to know if your S/C is boosting properly.

LOL, my seat-o-the-pants meter tells me that when I hit the skinny pedal...

I am with the others, not 100% necessary or accurate but does tell you things are working and something to be abe to compare to later if something were to go wrong
I to installed mine a week after the supercharger and got a pretty good price from the dealer I ordered my supercharger from.

Definitely get the boost gauge, it's nice to know how much vacuum / power is going on. Looks cool to passers-by, too.

Where would you put a boost guage if you have side-curtain airbags?
