There's only one thing I can think of: your throttle body, which sounds like it needs a good cleaning! I've had this happen severall times and cleaning it takes care of sticky pedals. If you're handy with hand tools, it should only take a few minutes to do.
First, go buy a can of throttle body cleaner. Then, locate the throttle body on the engine. Then losen the clamp and remove the hose and pull it free from the engine. On my pic, you'll find it where the two clamps are closest to the enging. Your stock setup will only have one clamp. You should notice a large "butterfly" inside the unit. When you pull on the cable, it will open and close.
Spray the cleaner into that area. Next, take a screwdriver and shop towel and begin getting the brown gunk out of there until it's completely clean and the butterfly moves freely. Reassemble the hose unit and you're good to go. Since it sounds like your entire intake might be pretty dirty, you might want to clean your MAF too and check the air filter while you're at it.
