steering travel question and request
I just had my steering rack replaced on my '00 4runner (5 speed, 4x4, SR5, supercharged, 3" toytech lift (springs), 230k Miles). It had a bad bushing internally. behaved like a bad tie rod end, but the play was in the rack not the end.
anyway, after I got it back it seems like it wont turn right as tight as it used to. theres some turn arounds in my neighborhood that now require a 2 or 3 point turn that didnt before, and tight right turns force me into the other lane.
if the tires are straight ahead, I can get about one steering wheel turn if I turn right, and about 2 if I turn left. left feels about like it did before.
before I head back and pitch a bitch.... any chance someone out there can verify their lock to lock steering wheel travel, as well as turns to right lock vs turns to left lock?
that way its not so much of an "it used to work like this" problem, and they tell me to get lost.
thanks in advance.

I replaced my rack about 8 years ago because I had play inside on the driver's side.
When that play reappeared a few years ago, I realized that one can carefully adjust the large socket nut (and lock ring) in the driver's side to eliminate the play.
Live & learn.
