squeak in engine only on acceleration
99 4Runner Ltd auto v6 243k miles
Recent work done: replaced spark plugs and wires. replaced 6th cylinder injector.
Just got my truck back from the dealer where they replaced my 6th cylinder injector but now I'm hearing a squeak when I accelerate and only when I accelerate. If I put the truck in neutral and rev, no squeak. The pitch of the squeak gets higher when I accelerate faster but stops squeaking all together when I take my foot off the gas.
I saw something on here that it might be u-joints. Can anyone confirm and would the dealer have done something to them while they were changing the injector? If it is the u-joints and I let the noise continue, what will be the future damage to the truck? I only ask because I have close to 250,000 miles on the truck and I'm not sure I want to sink any more $$ into it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it a squeak or a squeal that changes with rpm??
I would look at loose belts.
It might be possible they forgot to attach something they removed getting at the injector.
Since you paid money I would call them and say it makes this noise it did not do before your techs had there fingers in .
Lets us hope they were no where near the drive line but who knows.
worse case bad ujoint the joint breaks causing all sort of interesting things that could happen.
Lets you sit in the worst place you might chance to be.
The simple is just needing a drive shaft.
One worse case it hits the gas tank
Takes out a brake line

It's more of a squeal that changes pitch (gets higher) the faster you go.
Dealer says not related to new injector but that's just a quick analysis over the phone.
