"the sqeeze" in a yota??

Has anyone in this forum been through "the squeeze" in Anza Borrego in their yota? I am going this weekend, but from the pics I have seen I am not too sure about it. Anyone have info?

What is this place, I would like to see some of these pics. that have you second guessing your Runner(or at least worried about hurting your baby ). I'm sorry I'm 2WD and not up on all these diff. trails that everyone else seems to know.

Yes, I believe it is possible. I don't remember seeing any pics of 4runners, but I have seen pics of Xterras, land rovers, and jeep cherokees make it through so I would assume a 4runner could make it through.

I'll try to find those pics and link them.

Thanks for the xterra pic link. I have a couple inches of clearance on those trucks. I should be fine, but I will let you guys know. I am going tomorrow.

Back from Pinyon Mountain--alive

Well we made it back from Anza Borrego. The trip was crazy, the most technical 4x ing I have ever done. The "squeeze" was fairly easy, but after that was climbing Pinyon Mtn. a very challenging climb that I got stuck on pretty bad. A locker would have been nice ( I will be getting one as soon as I figure out which one will suit me best). Then came Pinyon dropoff, a slide all the way down huge loose rocks with huge holes that people over time have filled with rocks. After all that there is a lumpy rock wall you must climb. I almost did not make it back from this one. But we did, and I just barely grazed my rear bumper during the whole run.

Anyone thjinking about doing this run should e-mail or post a message to me first.

So where's the pic?!

Good to hear you made with minimal damage. How was heart attach hill? I've seen the pics where everybody has a rear tire in the air.

I'm originally from the San Diego area and my family gathers there for thanksgiving and X-mas. I'd like to take them there and show them what off roading really is. Any tips for that area and that trail?

It is a tough trail for about 3 miles, then it is easy. But from the "squeeze" to the climb up to the dropoff it is difficult. Bring a shovel and good jack just in case, and Iam sure it would be easier with a locker. Let me know if you have any questions.
