Is it a direct blot on, or do I need more compents for a 98? I found one for $230. If I can take mine off and put it on then I will bite.

 

Where are you getting it? I'm betting it's just a hood if it's new and you'll need the insert and stuff to finish it up but it is a direct bolt on hood for any 3rd gen Runner.

 

all i did was take off the 4 bolts holding it to the hinges, take off hood, put on new hood, attach 4 bolts, then check to see if everything is aligned correctly and gaps are even. really easy. so easy, that my 61 year old mother helped me put it on as i was so eager to put it on and my friends could not be bothered to help. good luck on scoring a sport hood for cheap!
