Speedometer always reads 5mph slow

Okay, I'm breaking down and starting a new thread. I've searched for a while and haven't found any explanation yet. Ever since I bought my 4Runner, the speedometer is 5mph slow no matter what speed I'm going. At school crossings, I have to put the speedometer at 15mph to go 20. On the freeway I have to put it at 60 to go 65 (I occasionally go that slow), and so on. The rig was originally Canadian, but it was Americanized and imported. I assume the problem started when they put the MPH stuff on instead of the KPH stuff. Does anyone know how I can calibrate or otherwise adjust the speedometer so that it will read correctly?

Just FYI, I know I have slightly larger tires on, and that throws off readings by a certain percentage - I already take that into account, so let's just leave the calculations for tire size out of this one. I just want to make it so my speedometer is reading the way that it should. The odometer is correct (taking into account the aforementioned tire size differential).

Thanks for any help you can give...

Thanks you guys. When I go up in tire size again I'll probably add a speedo correction device too (thanks scuba). I guess now I have something to do this weekend.
