Exclamation Sparkplug Wire Question, Cracked plastic

I was putting in some NGKs on my 2.7 and i saw that on my last cylinder that the connecting tube that goes down into the well and snaps onto the sparkplug, Well that piece has a crack going all the way down the side of the plastic outside of it. IS that causing a voltage drain? could it arc out there and not be transferring all of its power to my plug?

will giving it a good wrap in electrical tape fix it, or will it be too hot in there for the tape?

anyone know how to find a cheap replacement if necessary?

Old tractor mechanic trick is to run the engine inside a dark barn. If you see blue light anywhere, something is leaking voltage. Not recommended to do this in a garage, for (I hope) obvious reasons.

Cool. I had a '94 VW Jetta VR6 that had lousy coil packs which radiated little electric arcs all over the outside of the packs (and caused misfires) when they got even a little wet. I'd bet those looked awesome in the dark.
