Difference in brands?

There is a difference in spark plug wire brands. The biggest thing to look for is the resistance in the wires. Most stock automotive wires will have a resistance of between 15-20K ohms. Any higher, and you can't get proper spark to the spark plugs. I have NGK spark plug wires, for the 3.4LV6, and the same length ofwire that ohmed out at 15K ohms on my stock wires came out to 10K ohms on the NGK wires. I don't know how much resistance the Magnecor wires have, but you pay a little more for those. The NGK's were like $43 w/ shipping, and someone on this site gave me the connection to get them on-line. I am sure someone knows where to order them though. Magnecor's retail for around $80-110, depending on the wire thickness you go with. Also, the NGK's are the same diameter wire (5mm.), so you can still use the same wiring looms for them.

Yep, I also use the blue 8 mm's. I can't honestly say that I've felt any huge improvement, except psychologically!

I have the 7mm Magnecor's. The guys who started Magnecor are Australian, in case you didn't know. Maybe they'll give a deal to a fellow countryman, Prado.

Call them and ask for Richard. Tell 'em Galen sent you. Richard and I have talked a few times, to say the least.
