Question Spare Tire Mount

So I was driving (with my new lift) and had to goto visit a friend in the hospital... I went into the parking garage, and looked through the sunroof, and uhhm.. yea... hence the title, I don't think a roof rack with a spare on top would make it... granted I don't do parking garages much, but I think it would be wiser to get a rear mounted one... although i think they cost serious moola.. anyone got any suggestions?

I looked at the ARB KAYmar ones... but havent found costs or applications for my 2001 4runner yet.

Look at this one.. hehe.. outboard motor... when you absolutley need to get somewhere.... the best accessory for a snorkel.

LOL Great pic! I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go. I was wondering the same thing myself. I saw a rear mount tire holder somewhere for my (2nd) gen Runner, and it involved some cutting, but I'm not sure what.

i have a rear mounted tire carrier for my 2nd gen. i got it for a bit over 700 from a place called KMA im pretty pleased with the product, but, im not a fan of their customer service seeing how they said it would take 4-6 weeks, and i got mine at 9, and also they never contacted me once to let me know the status, it was always the other way around...anyway, here are the pics.

Would a 90-91 stock rear mount work? Might be a good junkyard find......

oops...saw the 2nd gen pics and it threw me. That probably wouldn't work for the truck in question here.:pat:
