Few things;
easiest..is it on the right direction?
also..how are the threads on the fuel line? Try cleaning up the threads where past where they were originally in the old filter. When I changed out my filter, this was the case.
And how are the threads on the inside of the filter? did you cross thread?

make sure that you have 1 copper gasket on each side of the banjo fitting (bit the bolt goes through) on both ends of the filter -- beyond that, any minor leaks should go away by just snugging up the bolts a bit more (don't go all "crack-head tight" on them though)

This is for a 3.4L there are no banjo fittings, its under the driver seat.

no dont use teflon tape. it should not be needed.
did you bolt the filter on before connecting the lines?
also, try it again and put a little pressure on the tightening.
It took me twice to get it snug.

Ok got it to work! THANKS again YotaTechers for the help.

For future referance...
Put the lines in and tighten them by hand first then bolt it to the vehicle.

Nice work. Yup those lines are picky, but when it is carrying pressurized fuel, i guess they have to be perfect for a reason
