I had to do alot of trimming in all four corners to stop the rubbing at full stuff. Depending of the size of the BL I think you will need to at least take out the pinch weld area right behind the front tires. Keep in mind, a suspension lift only changes your ride height. At full stuff, you are no different then stock suspension and therefore any tire that is larger than OEM is going to rub.

edit: In fact I am going to go out in the garage and do some more cutting and welding and painting on those problem areas, I'll post some pics in a bit.

one problem area in the rear wheel well. Notice the cut area. I had to cut alot of the plastic and about 1.5" x 4" of metal.

had to remove the hard plastic mud flap things, and trim the bumper.

this is the front area that is shown in the first pic. Be careful when cutting here. Welding that thin of metal with a mig welder is almost impossible. The body material is so thin, the welder just blows holes in it unless you are very carefull.

Moral of this story is yes you will need a body lift unless you don't mind cutting the heck out of your wheel wells. Most people with a 3rd gen would rather not go the second route.
