Some filthy winter driveway pics....
Decided to change my oil today, tried the napa gold 1516 filter and it is much longer than the recommened 4runner filter. Should give good results. After changing the oil I decided to snap some pics because everyone bagged me for not having any in my intro thread
.
oil change in process:

driveway pics:

I installed the lights out that wide because its going to look sick when i do the satoshi grille next weekend!

sirius satellite radio:

fzj80 wheels, going to get them powder coated in anthracite/graphite color:

and of course, the maglite mod:

To mount the maglite i found some streamlight adjust-a-clamps off amazon. They are made of stainless steel and will long outlast those plastic maglite mounts. I love the position of it too. It doesnt take any cargo space up and i'd have to put the runner tire side up pretty hard for it to fall out.
Let me know what you think...i look forward to your comments.
thanks, Joe

Joe,
I really like the FJ80 wheels and look forward to pics once you've refinished them.
Curious about the jack stand in your oil change picture. I've been changing the oil on my '01 for nearly six nears (every 3,000) and have it down to 15 minutes or so. I just crank the wheel hard to the left, undo the rubber wheel well liner and access the filter right through the wheel well with a few extensions. I leave the skids on and simply undo the drain plug. I'm at 120,000 miles now and find this to be the easiest method yet. The skid plates are a true pain to remove and re-install, so this is my solution.

Haha, regarding the jackstands....i'm not the most slender of guys, so i like to have a little more room while working under the truck. I also access the filter through the wheel well and, unfortunately, this is only the second time i've had to change the oil so i'm not quite as quick. Also, i have been having an intermittent oil leak, 1 drop every couple of days, and i was laid out under there trying to zone in on where its coming from.

The fzj80 wheels are sharp. Can't wait to see them pc and on your 4runner. Dirty or not, I love that color. Kinda wish mine was green.....or blue.
What are your future plans?

Regarding future plans, the next step for me is most likely going to be the sonoran steel #1 lift along with 285/75/16 nitto terra grapplers. I'm just going to wait until my current tires are more closer to the end of their life. After that's done, who knows. Maybe a tjm, some skidplates and sliders. I'm really not too concerned with spending alot of money on mods at this point because this is my dream vehicle and i want it to be unique. Also, i plan on having it FAR into the future so any money spent on mods is well worth it IMO... Thanks for all the comments so far, appreciate it.

cool, the streamlight adjust-a-clamps are good for both c and d cell mag lites....they are adjustable by simply tightening down the mounting bolt which causes the "arms" to close up more tightly. Great product.
