ok that's a relief, after about 5 months trying to sell the beast it's gone! got 12600 for it, fairly happy with that price, unfortunately that's about what i owe on it, so no extra $$$ for me, oh well. i'll miss the old girl but the financial burden that has been lifted feels amazing! now i can pay off some loans ad start saving for a cash purchase of a 1st gen!!!

so it ya'll had a cheque for $12,600, what would you do with it? (remember you still owe that much for the truck loan tho.....)

I know it sucks to loose the baby but you did a very smart move there my friend!
Always better to live modestly and pay off the debts before upping the standard of living.
Keep it up and you'll be back in a 3rd gen in no time flat.

Deposit the check. Call the bank that is holding your loan and get the payoff amount. Then write the check to them to pay it off.

Pay 3/4 of the loan. Use the rest to buy a 1st or 2nd gen that you can build up. Most important to reduce your debt. Toys come with age. If you live right, you'll get both...toys, and age.

yeah i know it sucks not having it, but it was at a dealer lot (consignment) for the past month and a half, so i'm used to not driving it (the gf has an old man car -97 bonne). i just don't know what i'm gonna do when i see the new owner driving it! prob kinda like when you see an ex with her new man!!!!!

as for the $$ i'm prob sure i'm gonna pay it all off - plan on doing some travelling next fall for 6 mos to a year in nz, so lack of loans is good right now! although i always wanted to go into a casino and drop $1000 on Black!!!

Personally, I would pay off that loan. Head down to a dealer or peoplefirst.com and get another 3rd gen with higher miles, for less money, and lower payments.

And if you dont mod too much, or drive more than 15k miles you can LEASE a new one for less then your previous USED payment.

Pay the loan off now, don't worry about another truck right now. You won't need a truck if you're in NZ, will you?. Save some money and when you get back there'll be a nice 1st gen waiting for you for being so patient

If you have a car loan and you sell your car... don't you have to pay off the entire car loan? Maybe it's just in Canada that you can't have a car loan without a car.
