Smallest Lift Around??

Odd question I know, but with upgrading from stock tires to 265/75/16 on my 02 sport, I see how a small maybe an inch or so of lift would help with appearance. Cheapest and easiset one to install, any thoughts? Just a 1" BL do the trick?

not terribly, spacers in the front should help. and do a slight bodylift. that will help ya big time. but if it doesnt rub, ur fine. it probably wont.

Sure. BL is cheapest, $180 from 4crawler, and I'm a fan of small BLs. (some are completely against) But I would also be tempted by the Sonoran Steel #3 because it's all Toyota also. A bit more spendy though, but I still think that is what I would do because that's the way a 4runner "should be" in the first place.

I have a 2000 4wd and had no rub at full turn w/ 165/75 BFG ATs. Of course that was just around town. I had them put on right before I did my lift.

Crank up your torsion bars........... JK But seriously, Look into some coil spacers, and a small body lift, like 1 or two inches max. Then you probably will have enough to clear 33's.

I'm going to go ahead and have them mounted and see how much they rub (if at all). I dont need any special tools to install a body lift i assume?

Not really. A floor jack and some scrap wood. Wrenches. Some penetrating oil if you live in a rusty place. A helper would be nice but I got by without. IIRC there was one nut near the rear wheel well that would have been nice to have the appropriate deep socket. I didn't and had to get by with little itty bitty turns of the wrench. There is a good how to on the 4crawler site.

I'm running 265/75R16 with 16 X 8" Ultras on my 02 Tacoma V6 4X4 and they rub on the inner back plastic top of the mud guard inner screw on turns. I'm looking for a front leveling kit but I can't decide on anything atm. I don't want spacers because no one seems to know the right amount of height I need to install to get the leveling I want. My next option was a coilover kit but they are expensive although adjustable but isn't worry free for more that 4 years tops before needing a rebuild. Any suggestions? Oh no body lift please.

i have a 02 tacoma 4x4 double cab that came with 245-75-16's.. i also want 265-75-16's but i was told it would rub on an offroad setting.. so i guess i might be stuck with 265-70-16's instead of 75's
