slight noise when turning wheel and during driving

I"m still trying to find out when the noise exactly happens, but I can re-generate the noise when I'm sitting still, and turning the wheel completely left and right.

It's sorta hard to describe, but a little humm/grind. I"m not sure

It also happens when I'm driving occasionally. Like right after I let off the gas pedal.

I guess my questions are, what does it sound like when I wheel bearing is going out?

And also, how can you tell if your cv axles are going bad? Besides clicking. I think i'm ok, just wanna make sure.

Gracias

Bump. My '89 Pickup does this as well. Something to do with power steering?

Mine does it too. It's gotta be the PS because nothing is rotating (while sitting) and it only happens with the motor running. However, it does not happen all the time.

You would hear a wheel bearing going out when the vehicle was cold and moving. You can also check wheel bearings by pushing and pulling on the top and bottom of the tire with it off the ground. If you have play, then something is wrong. Again, I don't think what you described has anything to do with a wheel bearing or the CV/Spindle for that matter.

Busy dude. I have so much going on that I want to scream. My accounting/finance class is "accounting" for about 8 hours per week in HW and quizzes, and that's on top of working full-time and church stuff. I try to remain positive, but it's still easy to get stressed and just plain overwhelmed, ya know?

I am going to the drag races tomorrow night at Firebird to blow off some steam. I will be piloting one of my friends' Nissan's. Should be cool.

And you? (PM me if you want)
