Sliders(Zzz) - Let me hear from you.
I have done a great deal of research on the board concerning sliders, including the slider round-up.
It is decesion time and I will likley pick from Demello, Stubbs, Fox, or Maniac.
For those of you running these brands, please let the rest of us know why you do or don't like your brand. I am sure they are all great, just looking for your own personal observations after having run with them a while - you know, things like does your version stick out too far for your taste, or do you wish they had more of a slant or less, etc.
Thx for your time,
future slider buyer(s)

No, no Badlands. I can't remember if the badlands were the one with the forked end or the larger end hoop on one end - either way, not a look I was "looking" for.
LOL & hope I did not offend anyone running with the Badland set-up & by all means, include any Badland comments.

Hey y'all as an aside, anybody know what the stock running boards weigh? That is, I would like to know after taking off the RBs what the net weight gain to the rig would be?
I know that the Maniac's weigh 42 pounds per side.
What do yours & others weigh anybody know?
Hey, every pounds counts on that overall MPG!

Stock running boards
Those things only weigh that much because the braces are actually solid metal. The rest of it is pretty flimsy once you take'em off. If they weigh more than that I would be surprised or else those FLINTSTONE vitamins of my sons are more potent than I thought and I don't know my own strength!

I'm going with 4crawler's design, because from what I've seen of all the sliders, his seem to be the most heavy duty, and his design sounds real good to me too. Read his page on it, and see what you think. He uses 3/16" tubing which is thicker than most.

I also went with the Badland Sliderz. I really like them and everyone drags mud, sand, etc across the powdercoat and I am shocked at how well they hold up. I went with the same weld on with removable feature that Corey has.
I have the "forked" end as you described, but am sure he could make the front and back match if you really want the symmetrical look.

when I took the last bolt off and I didn't curse...so it can't be much. 30-40 lbs a side tops!
