Sign of an A/C leak? *pic*

I went to look at my front sight glass to check for bubbles in the fluid and it appeared to be pretty greasy around the connections, is this a common symptom of a leak?

thanks fo sheezy

looks like dripping engine oil... do you have a leak there?
the freon leaking (if substantial) would be a green color.... at least mine was

Thats refrigerant oil b/c oil travels with the refrigerant. Probally just need to get some o-rings perhaps? Not to familiar with automotive air conditioning. I'm a Carrier tech armed with the smarts and the parts. Yeah very corny, I know.

Hey Mason,

Would you mind resizing that pic to at least 800x600?

Thanks!

a sign of leak is warm air when a/c is on full

the lines are full of gas, not grease, so grease on the lines indicate nothing

You are totally in the wrong, the refrigerant(gas) travels with the refrigeration oil, so-if there is oil present, that is an indication of a leak.

If you can see bubbles in that window you got a leak somewhere. By the looks of that drier it is leaking from the o-rings. Like previously stated: replace o-rings,vac system, recharge with new freon/oil.
