On my 88 pickup V6 I have 2 wires running from the mid-left side of the intake to the back of the engine into a sensor.The plug dose'nt want to stay plugged in and sometimes the engine wont start.I have to shake it a little to make a good connection.Does anyone know what this wire is called and what is the name of the sensor that the wires are connected to.One wire is black and the other one is green with a red stripe.Thanks for all your help-K.

 

Try looking at some of the wiring diagrams at www.autozone.com. They have repair guides for many vehicle on their website.
