Scratchs on new tacoma

My tacoma has scratchs where I cleaned the snow off the hood. I think the ice on the brush is what did it. It was a stupid thing to do. They look like white hairs. My question is what is good for getting rid of them and if I have to paint it again, how do I get the number of the paint off the door? Any help would be helpful.

Depends how deep the scratches are, if they aren't too deep try mild polishing compound finished with a good wax, it can do a pretty good job. There are also specific products out there for "scratch removal" but I haven't tried any of them.

run your hand or fingers over the scratch... can you feel them?
If you can you're kind of out of luck. If you cannot than claybar or polishing or even a coat of high quality wax MIGHTsort it out.

You would be amazed what rubbing compound will do. I have taken out some really nesty ones before. as long as it doesn't go all the way through you should be able to polish them out.

I, use a 10" buffer and Maguiars buffing compound (polish), works great.
