Pictures of my new '99 SR5!

Hey guys,

Just thought I would post some pictures of my new truck. I bought it off Ebay for 10K, not bad huh? I had it checked out bumper-to-bumper to make sure no issues where there. It has 114,000 miles (a bit high for a 99 but not bad in the whole scheme of things), and the only issues found where a non-working power antena, some minor brake work needed, and a missing tow strap cover in the front bumper! I live in the Denver area, and trucks like this are selling for about 3-4 thousand dollars more. What do you all think?

Can't wait to start putting some mods on it. Need to first start with a safari rack and a tow hitch. From there. . . who knows. Thats why I come to this site!

Yep,in Denver or any part of Colorado Runners aren't cheap. I sold my '97 that had a few blemishes and 99k on it and I got $11k for it and my '99 with 92k on it cost me about $13.5k but I lucked out and it's in near new condition, the only work I needed done was brakes.
Mine was pretty much stock except for the very dark tint on all the windows plus the previous owner had a nice system in it but sold it separatly but left all the upgraded wiring in place so that was a nice bonus anf it had a Yakima Load Warrior basket on top.

Where in Denver are you?

I'm in Highlands Ranch. Been here for about 6 years now. You?

Also, I have some quick questions on the "locker". Can that, or should that, only be used in L4? And do you just put it in L4 and then push the button in to lock the rear diff. I am assuming that is what a "locker" is. Please advise.

I live right over by C470/Kipling area and I work at the HR Safeway;we'll have to hook up sometime and talk trucks. I'm a noob to the whole off road thing but I'm learning.

Yeah, we should. I am also new to real "offroading" but I have been driving on forest service roads for about 10 years now just to get to trailheads to feed my passion for backpacking. Always wanted a 4Runner, but just never took the plunge to buy one. I made do with an Outback for years believe it or not. It always made me laugh when I would drive up a forest service road and see a Ford Exploder stuck somewhere and I would just drive on by in my Outback. But now that I have a 4Runner I will be able to get to more places on more difficult terraine. Can't wait!
