Rust!!!
Aw crap.
So at the beginning of the winter, my '95 white runner had a great body. The only rust was on the top of the tailgate from bad weather stripping, and on the right rear chrome bumper from a ding. I finally washed off the winter salt and almost EVERY body panel is starting to show orange-brown!!!
agh.
The bottoms of the doors, the front chrome bumper, the front fenders, I think even the hood... all have orange starting to stain the white at the edges.
I know it's my own fault for not washing it more often this winter... but is there anything I can do about it now? Or at least prevent it from spreading and turning the whole body to dust?

I'd get the who body undersealed. if you can see it on the outside, the inside ain't going to be pretty. There are a number of areas thta are not well sealed and water gets into them and doesn't get out - running board tubes.
Mine is a Japanese import and they are notoriously bad for rustsealing. The Japanese motors tend not to be well undersealed if they are not originally imported into a know wet place.
There used to be a joke about watching a Nissan rust during the 4 minute warning and some Toyotas aren't that much better.
I recently had this happen on my daughters car and luckily using some paint renovator actually got rid of the rust on the paintwork (it was just like a surface coating on top of the paint). I quickly made sure that I put a good quality Car wax (Autoglym) on the bodywork after cleaning. Thta should keep the nasties out for a bit.
