yea i guess so..i'll cut them tomorrow and post pictures again. as far as the rear spoiler i think i'm going to just get some tint over my 3rd brake light (it dosent work for some reason even after i got new bulbs for it) instead. i am more interested in adding a towing hitch at the moment. i've also ordered some TRD decals so i should have those on within the next week as well.

I use my mudflaps as curb feelers when I am backing or dropping
off a small ledge I know the flap will scrape before my pipe hits

I crawl rocks in a stock 4runner and have scraped the whole underside
of the vehicle (except oil pan) ... but not yet lost the pipe

and that is the reason why i stay away from any rock crawling lol
i really don't need mine, i just didn't want to chip my paint any but it should be ok. i already have a big dent in my bumper so i'm not to worried about my rear.

and oh yea, i was in your part of town today rock, just though i would let ya know.

My vote was just leave it. If you want to remove 3inches of black plastic go nuts, you know what i mean? like wooohoo, what a "mod". As for the rear spoiler, personally i like the 4runner with no rear spoiler on lighter colours, as the plastic black colour is just kinda ugly. Sure there is some functionality to it, but your money at this point would be best directed at the hitch you have been mentioning.
And for the tailights they arent bad. Personally Im no fan, but a gift is a gift. Just dont accidently back into anything, since youll probably do way more damage than intended for being sneaky about finding a reason to take them off.

yea, i really wouldn't back into anything like that just over some taillights. i told her i was gonna take them off about last month and she kinda looked at me in a weird upset/mad way like "why...?" so i figured i best keep them on for awhile
