Rough Idle after plug change

I changed out the plugs - wires - cap and rotor today on my 92 runner(3vze). The idle seems to be rough more so then b4 the change and the engine jumps slightly. The wires are on correctly. For some reason it just doesn't seem right to me. Any trouble shooting tips would be great since right now since i have been beating my brain for hours now.

What brand of stuff did you use? When I first got my truck I stuck bosch platinium 4's in it and it ran crappy until I changed them out for NGK's.

check your plug wires again. i goofed and hooked up 2 wires wrong when i replaced everything. ran like ˟˟˟˟ until i took a deep breath and traced my wires.

double, triple, quadruple check your install. something may not be screwed down, or plugged in all the way. check the gap on the plugs.

Check the gap. Also, how hard were the wires to get off? They may have gotten damaged from yanking on them. Use OEM Toy stuff.

i had a slight pulsing after i changed my plugs about a year ago. it was b/c of the gap in one of the plugs. try checking them all and see if theyre all gapped correctly.

I have a 1988 4Runner where the same thing happened after a proper plug change. It turned out, the airhose that connects the Airfilter to the manefolder got cracked as I was putting it back on. If there is not a sealed air flow, the engine does run proper. I don't know if they changed this for a 2nd gen 4Runner.

Check your air hoses and I hope this helps

Could be a bad plug. Buy one more new plug (or use one of the old ones) and swap them out one at a time.

Thanks for the info guys. All the parts i got where OEM ($87 for plug wires )The problem was a cracked throttle body hose. When i went to pull the hose off again to check the plug the hose crumbled at the TB. I got a replacement hose from the junkyard till i order a new from the dealer. All seems to be fine now.
