Rockware Teaser....

Just got back last night from Rockware in Colorado Springs...

Matt peterson spent 2 and a half days dialing out my rig with a custom rear tire swing and bumper.

Their work is so kick *ss and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. It is nice to have all the chrome off my black 2000 sr5...

My digi isn't working so it will be a couple days before I can post some pics,

(besides I don't want to make waskillywabbit all jealous when he sees my rig),

however, Doug the Hedgehog (who kindly put me up for a couple of days while I had the work done) and Darren both came down to take a look...

No doubt, the boys at Rockware know whats up.

I'll post again when I have some pics

PS: My rear bumper is in the classified section if anyone is interested.

Welcome to the club!

Glad you are pleased with the end result, and it was great to finally meet ya after all these near misses! Props to Doug and family for taking you in for a couple of nights. That's also great to see.

Top notch for sure.

Do them a favor and be a word of mouth advertiser. I was quite pleased in my dealings with them and even more so with the product in the end.

Why do I have this strange feeling of jealousy coming on, and I haven't even seen your rig...

Sweet! Did Matt take pictures himself. He should update his site with a pic of your rig. I assume you got a front and rear setup. The picture he has of my front on his site doesn't look all that great.

I agree, his site is rather outdated...

I don't think he took any snaps but can'e be sure. I know I didn't.

I already am running a TJM-15 in the front and stubb sliderz, so, all that got done was the rear bumper. It is rather impressive to watch them work...

I will try and get some pics ASAP.

DSP, can't wait to see pics of the rig. Sounds nice.

Thought I'd also invite you here, some of us colorado boys are meeting February 7th in boulder or idaho springs, not sure where yet, for trails and dinner. Hope you can make it!

My guess if Matt does another bumper there will be a hike in $$$$. Infact, he originally quoted me just shy of 1500.00

The cool thing about my swing, is that although Darren has one and Fly, and a few others, they are all different. Matt can't remember what he did the time before exactly, so there are noticable differences between my bumper and Darrens.

You can tell that bumpers aren't Matt's favorite thing to do, you should see the tube buggy he is working on in the shop.

He made a point to me to say he could make a lot by mass producing my bumper, but, in the end it is not custom and that is what he is all about.

Matt at Rockware, Mike at ORS and their associates are fabricators who build best when it is custom and one off. Yes, they have built Toyota rear bumpers, but they do not, thank fully, make a singular, off the shelf, Toyota rear bumper. That puts too tight off cuffs on them and takes them away from doing their job. In the end, you will not be pleased with what they turn out and they will not have worked up to their ability.

Do us, them and yourself a favor and do not ask for such a thing. They build custom bumpers for specific trucks, not specific models. If you want one, you have to take your rig out there and get one made just for your rig.

I know this sounds harsh, and I suppose I can say it since I already have one, but there really is no other reasonable option.
