opps, wrong thread...

 

ok this will sound stupid but now that the disclaimer is out....


last year I had a thump sound when stopping, starting, and going over potholes and speed bumps. I searched forever! suspensions, took my hitch off, rotated tires, ...the list goes on. After a pure accident I bumped the spare tire and it moved. Turns out when I got my tires rotated and balanced and had them check the spare as well, they did not fully tighten the tire into the spare carrier (I have the stock cable pully system still under the rear cargo area).

Sounds stupid but I tightened it and the noise was gone.
