I just noticed my back up lights not working. I checked and replaced the bulbs but still not lighting. Oh yeah, I have a 90 toy... any help would be appreciated.

 

check to see if you have voltage to one of the pins on the backup light switch connector, and if you do, put a jumper wire in the connector and see if your back up lights come on, if they do, replace the switch, if not, check all of the grounds in the taillight assembly, that should solve it for ya

 

Do you have a 5spd or auto? I recently had to replace my switch on my tranny that activates the backup lights, took 5 minutes on my 5spd...

i have a 5 speed and no reverse lights right now either on my 4x2 1985 5speed..... i think all the fuses are good? most likely the swithc on the tranny?

 

yeah, I had to take mine out and clean it off... after that it worked again.

 

Im having the same problem. Changed the bulbs but still no light. How do you take this part out, where is located, etc...? Thanks!
