Results from Auto-Rx

Okay I bought my 2000 Prerunner 2.7L auto w/ about 85,000 miles on it. I did the usual tune up.....

Spark plugs,
PCV Valve
Oil change
Tranny flush
Rear diff fluid change
Air Filter

I was getting about 19 mpg before this stuff and my mileage didn't move any after this stuff, so the truck seemed to be running good.

Then I used 2 bottles of BG44 fuel system cleaner and starting getting around 20 mpg.

Finally I put in the Auto-rx and I have just finished the 1,500 mile cleaning period.

I filled up today on gas and now I'm seeing 23 mpg. My mileage has slowly climbed over the 1,500 miles and I HOPE it gets a tad better.

I'm gonna do the oil change for the Rinse step now and we'll see what improvements this might yeild. Maybe 24 mpg!

Overall though... AUTO-RX is everything it's cracked up to be. My truck idles smoother and I noticed a definite improvement in performance, especially while climbing hills with the 2.7L.

I MAINLY like the 3 mpg gas gain I'm seeing now!

Thanks for the input! I just checked out the web site for that stuff (I had never herd of it untill now) and it looks like a worth while product. I have 160K on my moter and it kicks out a puf of smoke on startup so it would defenetly be worth trying for $25.

I am still on the cleaning phase....before I put in auto-RX I could stick my finger in the oil filler and get flakes of burnt oil off the valve cover...now all that is gone or turned into slush waiting for rinse phase. My engine is a little louder becuase of all the cleaning hope when I put M1 back in it will quite down....but over all I have used everything to clean engine....seems like auto-rx is working...

Just FYI, there's a thread running here about Auto-RX as well:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/clean-engine-healthy-engine-27478/

A rep from Auto-RX also found the discussion and offered up a nice healthy coupon for us to use. Too bad I'd already bought 6 bottles!

It's good stuff...
