Replace fuel pump or sending unit? 96 runner
I have a 96 3.4L with a TRD SC on it, 2.1 pulley, 4:56 gears and 31" Mudders...
I filled it up with gas last night, drove 30 miles and I'm just above 1/2 tank....until I exit the freeway where my gas gauge drops to 1/4 tank while I'm at the light.
I'm guessing it's the sending unit, but my question is with regards to replacing the fuel pump as well. The PO kept EVERY receipt he ever got and looking through I saw someone had installed an "in tank fuel pump" when the installed the SC. Do I need to buy a aftermarket fuel pump or will OEM do?
Should I bother with the fuel pump or just replace the sending unit.
I searched the forums and found several referances to the sending unit issue, none with regards to the SC.
Thanks in advance!

It's my daily driver, so I'm trying to limit down-time and avoid doing the work 2x...I'm just wondering if I buy an OEM pump/sender will it be adequate? Truck also has a URD Additional Injector Controller / Timing Calibrator unit.

The pump is probably the Walbro 190 that comes with the URD kit. Why would you need to replace the pump? It is working fine right? Do you have a AFR gauge with that 2.1" pulley?
