Can someone tell me how to remove the Heavy Duty Springs on the back of my truck?

Do you have leaf springs? Year, model?

 

Yep, there are leaf springs and an additional heavy duty spring over the shocks. It's a 1991 2WD Standard Bed Toyota Pickup

What? Leaf springs AND coil over? I've never seen that, but here are some good instructions on leaf springs

I thnk Monroe shocks makes these coil springs that slips over the shocks....is that what you're talking about?
if yes then just remove the shocks.

 

Yeah, these look like they slip over the shocks. But I'm wondering if when I unmount the shocks are they going to extend and be hard to put back on after I pull the coil spring off of them? Do you jack up the rear axle or bumper? Thanks

 

I don't know anything about those shocks, but what I did to remove and add leaves to the spring pack was jack up the rear axle and put jack stands under the frame such that the wheels were slightly off the ground with the jack removed from under the axle. The guy I bought this truck from added the heavy duty coils over the rear shocks so he could load it with wood. But I don't haul anything like that and the truck bounces like crazy because of it. It also has the leaf springs you were talking about.
