Remember these brain donors?
The ones who bypassed a barricade, drove down a foot path and did donuts around a geyser in Yellowstone until they got stuck and spent the night?

They have been sentenced;
I am not sure whether I am more embarrassed that they drove a Tacoma or that they are from Washington. Either way, I am pleased to have never made their acquaintance... I am also pleased to say that they do not speak for the way we do things up this way.

They have been sentenced;
Last Tuesday, Adam Elford of Vancouver was found guilty on all charges and was sentenced to ninety days in jail, all but twenty suspended; was fined $1560 and ordered to pay restitution; damage was estimated at $2900. However, reassessment will be done in the spring and Elford would be responsible for the full restitution amount. Judge Cole placed him on three years probation and banned from entering Yellowstone National Park for five years. His remark to the judge was, “this is what we do all the time in Washington, drive around barriers; they saw one so they decided to do the same.”
Elford’s passenger, Austin Olsen, Battleground, will face arraignment on Thursday on charges of aiding and abetting off-road driving, injury of mineral resources, etc.
Two barriers were moved; traveled 2.5 miles leading to the geyser which was reserved for walking; drove in a meadow by crossing a thermal channel and stem vent; spinning doughnuts before getting stuck. It is estimated that park staff have already spent 80 hours trying to repair damages before the snow fell."

But, I bet you are right. The ranger was so ticked at the stupidity of the two that he ticketed them for everything he could come up with.
Serves them right.

How stupid can you be? "Ok, we're in a national park, lets drive around a barrier, oh look, theres another one, lets drive around it too. Lets drive across steaming ground with funny looking things growning on it. Hey this is fun ripping up this wierd looking soil. VROOOM, sputter, zzzzzz.... Darn, were stuck! Now we should start a fire, and hey, there is a bear, lets shoot at it, in a National Park!!" :wtf:
That is a great idea, I can't believe they weren't charged with illegaly discharging a firearm. Is it legal to hunt in a National Park? I have hunted in National Forests, and I've been to Crater Lake a few times and I believe I have seen no firearm signs. :cry: Think of how much of our air those to dumbsh!!s have wasted!!
