Regarding warping rotors...

I was bored and went to http://carreview.com/SUV/Toyota/PRD_48_1524crx.aspx.

The very last guy to post, writes:

One major problem was front end wobble under breaking. Thought it was warped rotors, but it turned out that there was a service bulletin out on this and a kit to fix it.
What is that all about?

I have never heard of a kit for this let alone a TSB for rotors on a 4runner.

"I am sorry to report that the 03 4Runner V6 is a clunker. After 12000 miles, all wheel drive gave out, had to replace it. Still not working right after it was replaced. The engine won't run if the temperature is below minus 10, and I have it in the shop over 5 times for other complaints"

hahahah

something's fishy here.

I don't have the info in front of me, but there is a TSB for specific, late model 4Runners which is related to the problem you described. If I recall, the dealership replaced my rotors as part of the TSB fix. I still had to replace my rotors 2 years later, though. Do a search and you'll find a lot of info on warped rotors. A lot of forum members have replaced their warped Toyota rotors with other brands.

So we have confirmation on the service bulletin Atlantis might not be lost after all.
Will the infinite collective wisdom of yotatech produce further details or even a link?

think that extends to '02 too? Mine vibrate, and I'm not on the brakes enough or hard enough to warp em.
