Recommended Next mod on my 3rd Gen 4Runner: Winch or 35's?

Need your vote on my next mod. I've got some money saved up but can't decide what I'm going to spend it on. I'm between getting a winch with synthetic line and aluminum fairlead or going to 35's. If I go 35's I'll be doing the same thing TLT did to their https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/f...ky-high-73003/

Just want your vote. If you had my 4runner what would you do first winch or 35's.

And a pic of the rig if you don't know what it looks like

I'd do the XRC8 with synthetic line and aluminum fairlead from winchdepot.com for a little under 5 hundo shipped... because that's what I did... and um you still have the money to buy a used factory elocker to install lata... cause thats what I did

not bashing 35s brah, but your set up would be better with what your running

I don't have much of a suspension set up either, but I would do a straight axle conversion for my vote

or just get the winch

xrc8 isn't enough winch, go for the xrc10 if your going with smittybuilt.

imho elockers suck.

With 35's your going to want to regear, i'd suggest 5.29's. I am glad you would chop instead of lifting it further in the air, props to you for that.

I go far more places knowing I have a winch than I would knowing I had big tires.

XRC10 with syn line. I have the XRC 10, and it hasn't let me down yet!

that's why I voted winch as well. Like the other guy said, I'd rather try to go everywhere with a winch and get stuck on smaller tires than try to go everywhere with bigger tires and just get stuck.

LOL, literally 35's are only 1 more inch of ground clearance.

People do it all the time. If you know how to drive and don't abuse the skinny pedal you can wheel and not break CV's (all the time). Granted over time your going to break one that's what's nice about life time warranty from O'Reilly's. A matter of fact there is a guy on TTORA with a taco that runs 37's with IFS (open) and doesn't break.

Last XRC I bought was great and I loved it but I bought it here http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-W..._pn=S%2fB98281 for $450.00 with free shipping.

I already have a factory E-Locker.

I looked in to SAS and bottom line is I don't have the cash. What kind of suspension setup would you recommend for someone looking to do 35's on an IFS rig?

I don't rub at all with my setup. And when going to 35's I'd be be tubbing the firewall along with trimming fenders. Look at the TLT build I posted in my first post.

Not sure if I made this clear in my first post but I'm looking to see what mod you would do first. I could care less if you think I'll be able to go to 35's without breaking CV's or Rubbing like crazy. I'm just torn as to weather I want to do 35's first or the winch.
