I followed a post in the "new posts" thread and found this website http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...ls/results.cfm and typed in my truck...01' 4runner. It said that there was a recall in March for the CLR Corner Lamps 99-02'. I dont know what those are exactly...i replaced mine with the burtmans. but if anyone doesn't know about this and has the corresponding truck, maybe it's a new set of Lamps!

 

Those are aftermarket clear corner lights that do NOT have an amber reflector in them. By not having the amber reflector, they do not meet current standards.

BTW, this recall is not for Toyota only, but for all cars that these lights were available for.

Right, I know about the reflector and standards, I was just trying to help inform anyone who might have those lamps.....
