Rear window regulator malfunction

My rear window goes up only on one side. The only way it roll up all the way is if I pull up on the side that doesn't go up while turning the key in the rear liftgate. Has anyone ever replaced a rear window regulator and if so how difficult is it? I could live without it rolling up and down, but it sure is nice feature to have.

Mine is pretty mangled. The window dropped into the tailgate. I had to re fasten it to the flanges that hold it in place. The washer that guides the window in the guide rails is made of plastic and was totally destroyed. it is a non serviceable part, but I manage to somehow make a ghetto one out of a lock washer, but it doesn't work to well.

˟˟˟˟ty design, really.

I rigged a plastic washer on also about 4 months back, lasted about a month and a half. With warmer weather coming it would be nice to use again.
