Rear View Mirror

Does the rear view block your vision, too? Especially when turning right, the rear view mirror really blocks my vision. i find myself having to look around the mirror a lot.

Is it feasable to move the mirror mount a few inches higher on the windshield? i feel like this will help a lot. Just pop off the old mount, buy some sticky stuff and place it higher? i think i remember seeing mirror mount glue for the windshield at the auto parts store.

thanks.

I'm 6'5" and it blocks mine badly. On my limited, it has two swivel points - one at the glass and one at the mirror. If you adjust the one at the glass so the shaft inclines upward to the mirror, then adjust the mirror in that location then it helps some but not completely.

i assume you have the auto-dim mirror... yea theres a mirror mounting kit you can buy. just unscrew the screw, remove the mirror (unplug it in back), and get that button off. no idea how to get the button off.

mine is fine, doesnt really get in my way. try moving it higher up using the mirror's arm. if i wanted i could have it touch the headliner, but i put my fastlane (tollbooth) device in that area.

Don't see why not...I have seen those mount kits at auto parts stores.

Do I see a write-up in the making?

Interesting:

Mine isn't even mounted to the wind shield. It's mounted up through a small console that holds a garage door opener, map lights and the sunroof switch.

Is this because I have a sunroof?

I have a sunroof too. Do you have the mirror with the dimmer and the compass?

If not, then you have the roof-mount version. If you have the dimmer and compass, then you have the glass-mount version.
