what i did for a rattle which was hardly noticeable, but once i hear somethig i focus in on it...what i did is just get a roll of the foam weathersrtipping tape and put it in key ares between the liftgate and body. for example around the liftgates latch and etc. hope this helps

do you have 2 or four screws holding the liscense plate frame in tact?? you might check and see if you can move the bottom of the frame with your fingers..if so, super glue some foam behind the frame. i did it and it worked awesome!
let me know

Mine rattles. I first thought it was the cargo cover but after having the cover removed for a few days, the rattle was still there. It's pretty annoying but I just play my music loud so it only bothers me when I don't have the music turned up.

With the tailgate open, look at the side edges of it, you'll find a black wedge on each side which engages with another one on the body. One side is a hard plastic, whilst the other is a sort of high density rubber. If these are badly worn they can allow some lateral movement on the tailgate when closed which can cause a rattle in the latch.

FYI. My '00 rattles form the rear passenger side cargo compartment. I originally thought this was a lift back hatch rattle but determined it was the plastic door.
