rear hatch power lock does not work

Is there a replaceable module that would account for why my rear hatch does not lock with the power door lock switch?

If you unlock the doors with the key from the front door, will it unlock the hatch?

And if it does, have you checked the wires between the body and hatch, under the boot, for breaks?

Habanero, that is exactly where I was headed. After my rear dome light started acting up, I took that boot apart and noticed all the insulation for the wires was cracked. That is going to be your first go to spot if the issue is electrical.

Hi guys,
Its been a year, Since first problem has occurred, first, a rear hatch lock stopped working. Then rear wiper, then rear washer, then rear window defogger, then inside rear light was gone, then a fuse responsible for rear components was burned a few times. I was disconnecting all those back door options one by one off. Even I physically disconnected wiring I wasn’t sure what is causing problem. And just recently back door window stuck in lower position. To make it short, I went back to reading forums and in my own post i found a right answer. A forum member “KBALL” from Toyota nation sad to check wires going from car body to rear hatch, I pulled back a rubber boot, BINGO all 15 wires were broken off. I soldered all wires, reconnected all components and everything works since then.

Regards
