Question Rear and front diff gears!! help.

Please need to know if I can change my rear diff gear to a 5.29 with a arb locker on a 02 4runner 3rd gen. with out changing the front diff. gears yet?
Will this be a problem for the transmition and Transfer Case running at 2wd and also when i am 4 weeling 4wd? with the rear gears bigger than front?
Just because i realy have the money to do the rear only for now!!

You could run 5.29s in the rear and save to do the the front at a later date but you couldnt use your 4wd with different gear ratios. If it was just in 2wd that would be fine though. I ran 5.29s for a bit in the rear when i sased my runner and i think they were 4.10s in the front. You wont be able to use 4wd but it would be fine in just 2wd unless you have some kinda AWD or auto slip engage or something?

If Your Gonna Go That Route Pull The Front Driveline So You Or Anyone Else Can't Acidentily Put It In 4 Wd And Blow Your Transfer Case It Only 8 Bolts And An As*load Of Insurance.

You can regear the rear end, and then leave the front for later, but what ever you do dont ever put it in 4wd. If you go this route, do like said above remove the front driveshaft to make sure you dont get your drivetrain messed up.
