Rear diff backlash adjustment

Hey y’all, just wanted to get some opinions on whether this is a good enough pattern to run. I just bought this diff on marketplace and it had like .013 in of backlash so I adjusted it down to .009 in and torqued the bearings I think from looking at the pattern the pinion should be moved a little closer, but I was trying to avoid having to do that I know the backlash is still a little loose, but the pattern gets worse the tighter I make it. Anyway, what do you all think? Should I just run it?

Thats a pretty lite pattern. did you put a good amount of resistance on it when turning to get this pattern?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I agree with you it looks like a light pattern. I felt like I put a pretty good amount of resistance though not sure why it would do that. I’m thinking maybe just cause of the way the gears were worn?

It could be cuz they are worn. I'd try it one more time if possible and really put as much resistance as you can on it. Other than looking really lite, I think youre patter is actually pretty dang good otherwise. I've run diffs with worse patterns that have been absolutely fine for years.
