I would run one for sure.
I would never drive a rig without a rear bumper, as even the factory tin foil one offers better than no protection in case someone backs into you or rear ends you.

then on to my next question. i lifted my rig 2 inches, where do i get spacers to fill the gap on the back bumper?

Yes I agree that it is better with a strong high clearance bumper especially up here when backing up around trees!

most body lifts will come w/ the spacers to lift the bumper. If not, you have a few options. You might be able to make spacers. Take a piece of metal, drill two holes 2" apart, and bolt on hole to the bumper and the other to the stock mount setup. That might work if you have room to fit the spacers in there, if not there should be mounts you can buy. My body lift came w/ spacers, but they were for a 3" body lift.
