Rear axle seal leaking on passenger side!

Rear axle seal leaking on passenger side!
What is the best and cheapest route to get this fixed. I can do all the work myself, but I don't have a clue what it takes to do it or if I need and specialty tools. Has anyone else had this problem on a '97? I would love to hear about the ins and outs of fixing it!
