Well,

I brought my car in this morning to get the work done. I had the parts ordered yesterday so they could have it today for the repair. I just got call from the Fairfax dealer telling me that only 1 of the 3 parts came in and it will be at least 3 days until the other 2 come in. So know im out another 18 bucks for a loaner car, one yesterday, one today.

She explained to me that they dont tell the dealers that the part is back ordered until the central warehouse checks all the other dealers in the area.

This is not my week.

Needsless to say to say it only takes 1. So I pointed that out. The service guy was so flustered he took all the gear oil off and rang me up.

I go to Right Toyota in Scottsdale now for service or get parts from Big2 in Mesa.
I had two seals blow on my old Tacoma too...hmmm.

I also go to Tempe and Right. I have had good luck with both of them, but Tempe is too freakin far for me!

Hermes,

Tell him that it the people I dealt with was Albert Sanchaz and "Billy". Both are assistant service managers (assistant crooks).

vtruong1 - I sent an email on 4/9 to the guy I know at Springfield and got a quick response stating that it was escalated to GM/Owner (someone with the Jennings last name). Did they make any attempt to contact you and make things right?

Hermes,

Thanks a lot for following up. I was about to e-mail you the other day to see if you got a chance to write them. No they havent contacted me yet. I dont expect they will. Did he have a reply to your e-mail?

I took me car in Friday to Oursiman. They have been pretty good to me. But I did run into a snag. They said that one part of the fuel line was stuck. They couldnt remove it without messing it up. So they had to order a new part and I should get my car back tomorrow. Kind of a big delay with the weekend in the way.

Ill keep you posted.

UPDATE

Well I finally got my car back on Tues. What an ordeal!

Just goin though all that makes me never want to bring my car back for service. Not to mention the fear of really getting ripped off.

As for the TSB. I have driven 60 miles from a 18.3 gallon fill up of gas and the needle is still passed full!!! I dont know when the needle is suppose to start goin down but before the TSB was done, at 10 miles the tank was already on 3/4.

Anyone have an idea about how many miles it take for that needle to get to 3/4?

I dropped them an E-Mail letting them know the Toyota enthusiasts don't appreciate this kind of rip off scheme. I found that they also have had 4 complaints lodged against them. Pretty sad. It appears that they have problems fromt the sales floor to the service department.
