re gear question?

So im getting ready for an ARB airlocker install, and im going to re gear when I do. Ive searched high and low, and im probabally not doing something right, but I cant seem to find 4.30s anywhere. Where should I look for gears, other than a pick and pull...? Thanks Alot!

try car-part.com and you will be able to find complete thirds then install a locker in them.

i would suggest going with 4.56's they will be much easier to find, due to after market companies making them for our trucks, and you will enjoy the lower gearing for your 33's. I would suggest east coast gear supply to supply new gears and installs for a good price.

assuming you have the v6 you aren't going to notice much of a difference with 4.30s since you'll be moving from 4.10s. You have to think down the road when doing labor intensive mods such as this...meaning if you ever plan to run a heavier load or upgrade tire size you will more than likely want to regear again, basically twice the labor costs for the same end result. follow what rolison said, 4.56s if you plan on keeping relatively the same setup (plus the added benefit of possibly finding oem gears) or 4.88s if you are looking at upgrading weight/tire size.

if you have a 2.7l though i would say go straight to 4.88s or even 5.29s depending on your plans

VSU im doing the same thing except im putting in 4.88s, but eastcoastgearsupply.com sells 4.30s. and from what everybody has said above about going 4.56 or 4.88s i agree due to research and posts. ive been told that 4.56s put the truck back to normal with 33s and 4.88s are close to normal but give you that little bit of extra power to tow and or haul heavy stuff. also if you havnt bought anything yet, the locker gears and install kits. check with east coast gear supply for a package deal. apparently he does give good package deals. and i read a post on another forum that is nothing but praises about that site/owner.

-edit-
after giving you my .02 cents, i realized that crolision recommended me to east coast gear supply. i contacted them and within an hour i got a response, the guy that owns the place is more than willing to help if he can. he gave me the cheapest prices yet on the gears and install kits, and about the same price as everyone else for the install. if i take my truck to him when i get home, itll cost me right at 1100 to get the gears and locker installed. thats not pulling the differentials either. So i will probably do that unless i find something cheaper, which im still looking and waiting for responses from other places.
