Rancho rear spring question?

I am in the process of lifting my 87 runner and have found some used 4" rancho springs for the rear. The owner says they are used and only around 3" right now. I am installing BJ spacers in the front to help level it out. Anyone else running rancho springs in the rear and how do they perform for you? Flex off road, ride on road. I am also considering chevys in the rear and I want to make the most informed decision that I can. Also are the rear springs for the 84-88 pickups and 84-89 runners all interchangable? Thanks, Andrew
