I need to drain and refill my radiator today. I don't have my users manual infront of me. What kind of antifreeze do you guys recommend? And how much will I need to purchase? Thanx,

Toyota Long Life RED, 1 Gallon Anti-Freeze and one gallon Distilled water for a drain and fill.

 

I second that. The red Toyota coolant but the biggie is mixing it half n half with distilled water. And giving the radiator a quick flush before hand.

 

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with purchasing from Autozone. I believe they carry ZEREX and some others. Any comments on these?

 

Actually, do a search on this. I remember a pretty involved disscusion about this. My .02 is that I wouldn't want to mix the colors. If you have red coolant, stick with that. Yellow, stay with yellow, etc.

But if you flush out your system though, then you can use whatever you'd want seeing how you got rid of all of your old coolant. If you go that route, then Prestone is the brand name I know. Just don't forget about the distilled H2O. Sorry to beat you in the head about that.
