Find the placard for your truck. It should be on the pillar or door jam for the driver's door. It will specify the proper size tire including the load range and tire pressure. Most LT tires are load range specific, most P tires are not.

My pickup specifies LT tires in load range D. I have load range E on them.

The MT/R I have on my 4Runner are LT tires in load range D where the placard specifies P tires. I have way more load range then I need.
