Questions on 3rd gen price and options

I just got a call from a toyota dealer about a 3rd gen 4 runner. I looked at a Jade Mica(green) runner the other day there, and now he has a black one. Heres the stats:

Both are 2000 models.
Both have between 41k and 49k miles
Both have color keyed bumpers, grills and flares.
The green one has 16" factory wheels(I have not seen the black one yet)
The green one has no towing package, the black one does.
Both are 2 wheel drive
The green has fabric seats
The black one has leather interior and wood grain trim
Both are SR5 models.

Neither has a hood scoop. I saw in the 4 runner history here that CKbumpers and grill and flares were on the sport or hilander and limited, but not an option for the SR5. Is it possible that these are setup with the options and not with the hood scoop?

Also, both are at a price of 21k to 22k. Are those good prices?

High

I got a 2000 LOADED SR5 4x4, leather, hitch, cargo cover, all the mats, power everything, fender flares, with 42K on it for 19,900. The ones you are looking at seem high for 2WD IMO. I would suggest you keep looking as you and I are in the same geographical area, so price variance shouldn't be that much!

I agree with Brian, if they were 4WD, it would be a good price, but its a little high for 2WD.

Too much for a 2WD SR5... They probally have the non-painted SR5 flares - not the painted limited flares.

If you want a 2wd and don't mind a few more miles (just turned 100k - ), I have a 2wd 99 Limited for sale. It's white/silver two-toned with tan leather, climate control, sunroof, auto, etc. It has new Michelin LTX's on it with a 1" toyota lift (via 4wd springs up front and TRD air suspension in back). I've had it a little over a year and I decided to get a 4WD instead. It's in great shape and I'm asking $14,500 for it. NADA Trade-In is $14,950. I'm in Birmingham... bamachem@yahoo.com

I think I got a good deal on mine.
Last year I bought a 1998 Limited 4WD with 44,000 miles on it (no scratches) for $19,200 (private party).

I got the last of the 5spd manuals...

2000 SR5, 38K, Black, towing, 16" wheels, sunroof, power everything, flares etc...

i was only missing the e-locker

got mine for 19,499 in January of this year from a dealer who did a total overhaul on it including an engine steam clean.

The thing looked cherry, like it hadn't been driven a day.

I'd spend more time looking around.

Ok, heres what I found out. The Green one in fact has the sport package on it. Why I thought it did not have a scoop on the hood is beyond me. The black one is the regular SR5 with leather, sunroof, 16" wheels but with chrome bumpers and wheel molding and a tow package. They seem like they could get a little righter on the pricing if I worked with them some, but I think Id really like to get a Black Limited 4x4. Then, if the price were real right, add on a sport hood and a S/C!!

Is there any difference in the sport package seats vs the leather in the Limited? I know the Limited has seat heaters, but what else is different, if anything?

Ok, the heaters came on the 01 and up Limited. I saw that in the 4 Runner History area. It seems to me that the Limited seats are the same ones that are in the sport, only they have leather, and the 01 and up have heaters. I thought I read where someone said that the limited had another adjustment or 2 vs the regular seats? So is it that the sport and limited are the same seats, while the base sr5 is a different seat, or is the limited seat different than both srs and the sport package seats?
